About this educational project
Created as a key assessment piece for stage 1 students learning about Geography, this website demonstrates my capability to plan, differentiate, and deliver meaningful geography experiences for Year 1 and Year 2 students. Grounded in inquiry-based learning, each lesson encourages young learners to explore their connection to local places, communities, and natural spaces.
Fostering spatial curiosity from an early age
Geography in Stage 1 develops foundational understanding about how places change, how people care for environments, and how we navigate our world. Through fieldwork, maps, and storytelling, students connect classroom concepts to their immediate community.
"The inquiry activities for features of places provided fantastic tactile engagement for early stage learners."
Practicum mentor teacher
"Exceptional alignment with NSW syllabus outcomes, clearly integrating literacy and geographical inquiry skills."
NESA, (2024)
"Thoughtful inclusion of First Nations perspectives and sustainable practices across each unit plan."
